The Welsh Highland Railway - Journey behind the most powerful 2' gauge steam locomotives in the world on a 19½ mile journey through the fabulous scenery of the Snowdonia National Park. This line runs close to the cottage - the nearest station is only a hundred yards or so away. As well as travelling into Snowdonia you can catch this train into Caenarfon to shop or visit the famous castle.
